Food at The Haven

We celebrate Irish produce and pride ourselves on our delicious food, specialising in Roast Rib of Prime Irish Beef and locally caught seafood.

Our menu caters to all budgets and tastes, with children especially welcome.

Why not drop in for a coffee and a cake or scone in the morning, and our lunch and snack menu is available from 12.30pm.

Our full menu – which includes our World Famous Roast Beef – is served from 5pm throughout the week and all day on Saturday. Our new, great value Sunday Menu is available from 12.30pm on Sundays.

Our bars boast a large selection of whiskey, fine single malts, vodka and gins and we have an extensive selection of beers and ales. We also have a carefully selected wine list. Our bar staff create a new cocktail every day – go on – treat yourself!

Here are  a selection of suggestions for a sit down wedding reception.

We will be equally delighted to set up a buffet or carvery for your guests,
or, for a more relaxed reception we can provide a BBQ on the patio,
(which can be enjoyed inside if the weather isn’t so kind),

DESSERT OPTIONS

We find that for dessert guests enjoy our Haven Dessert Platter
a trio of desserts such as Irish Liqueur Cheesecake; Banoffi Pie; Chocolate Fudge Gateau; Fresh Berries and Meringue; Choux Buns or a cheese selection.
Or, to encourage your guests to mingle, why not offer a Buffet Dessert Table for them to choose themselves.

We will, of course, be delighted to accommodate any guests with dietary requirements.

Amazing food service

Excellent location in the heart of Dunmore East. We did not stay in this hotel but we did eat and drink in it and we were so so happy with the service we received. I don’t eat meat or dairy and, even though there was no vegan options on the menu, our waiter went above and beyond to accommodate me. He sat beside us and went through what I could and couldn’t eat, then he spoke to the chef and it was no problem at all to make me up a beautiful starter of avocado salad followed by a curry! My partner had a starter of garlic mushrooms followed by a steak with potatoes and veg, the portions were very big!
Our whole bill came to €65 for two starters, two main courses and three drinks each we were expecting the bill to be over €100 because the portions were so big! It was very reasonably priced it was €5 for a pint of beer and €5 for a bottle of west coast cooler.
Next time we are in dunmore east we will defiantly be back to the Haven Hotel for food.

Excellent family run Hotel

My wife and I dined here twice during our stay and on a third occasion in a party of eight.Everyone happy with the food, especially the roast beef special which is to die for. Lovely views out over the bay and cheerful helpful staff.

Enjoyable Family Meal Out

From the time we entered the restaurant, to the time we left, everything was perfect. Excellent, well trained, friendly staff who actually enjoyed serving us. Food was magnificent! Didn’t think we were able for dessert but after seeing the presentation of the desserts being brought out to others we couldn’t say no, and boy was it worth it! Will definitely be back!

“Wonderful lunch, wonderful view!”

We stopped at The Haven after renting a house in the village. The lunch there really sealed the deal. Delicious chowder, wonderful cottage pie and the view out of the restaurant window was gorgeous, even in December!! The server and the other staff were super friendly.

Fantastic venue, we went here on our Christmas night out and had a fantastic night. Great selection on the menu and food was very good. Staff were very friendly to deal with. Everything was just perfect. Everyone had a very enjoyable evening and night. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic place to stay. The service was great thanks to Sharon who makes everything possible. Loved every moment of our stay. I’m gluten and dairy intolerant and was pleasantly surprised that they offered gluten free bread and soya milk! The food was fabulous. We were there for a wedding and would consider going back just for the butternut soup and seafood pie. Highly recommend the rooms with sea view.
