From the moment we booked The Haven we never doubted our decision. The set up of the marquee was even more beautiful than we had imagined, the staff were just fantastic and the food as always was amazing. Our rooms were beautiful and so comfortable and our breakfast the morning after was gorgeous. We had so many guests from other counties at our wedding and they could not get over how beautiful everything was and still tell us that they will be booking into The Haven for their next visit to Waterford. I genuinely cant thank you all enough for making our day so enjoyable and special and look forward to so many more fantastic days out at the Haven.

We’ve been finding it difficult to put into words just how special our day was and how magical and unique the setting of The Haven is.
The day of our wedding could not have been more magical, starting off with our beautiful ceremony on the terrace with the sun splitting the stones (in April!!) and the stunning backdrop of the sea and Dunmore East. After the ceremony, as if from nowhere, a bar opens up on the terrace for people to enjoy some drinks on the lawn and to soak in the views before heading into the fabulous new marquee to enjoy amazing food and then dance it all off to the band.
We then moved inside to their beautiful big dining room lined with big windows, to dance to the dj into the wee hours.the house was so perfect, with lots of nooks and crannies for those who wanted time out from the revelry to sit and chat.

You could not have done enough for us, even down to the fact that when my Dad’s walking stick broke after the ceremony, it was immediately whisked away to be fixed, whilst Sharon went up to her house to get their beloved Father’s stick for dad to use as a temporary replacement. It is this care and consideration that makes the Haven so special, you really feel welcomed into the family, like it was our own heavenly house by the sea for the day.
The following evening we relaxed in the bar, where paul had provided live music for our entertainment and I got to meet Paul & Sharon’s mother, who told me about the history of The Haven, and how herself and her husband bought it in the 50’s and built it up from nothing, and that love and dedication is still their to this day. I cannot gush enough about this place. For anyone who is looking for a venue with a difference to make your day truly unique and special….I cannot recommend The Haven highly enough!!

We planned everything from Australia and from the time we enquired about the venue to when we arrived for the big day, Paul, Karen and Jayné were a pleasure to deal with. Nothing seemed to be a problem. They were always helpful and reassuring. Whatever questions we had (and we had many!!) they answered promptly and had a solution for everything. They kept us calm and as we were organising everything from Australia this meant a lot.

We decided to have our wedding in the haven hotel as both myself and my husband wanted a relaxed no fuss wedding and once we met Paul we knew we had picked the right venue. There was nothing that was a problem for them and Karen helped me pick the decorations and Paul picked the perfect bbq menu for our guests. On the day everything was perfect and every guest was treated with the same kindness and hospitality which was important to us as we had kids there with us and didn’t want them to feel left out. A brilliant day was had by all and I would do it all again exactly the same it was so perfect.

From the moment we visited the venue to the day itself everyone looked after us to the nth degree. They could not have done enough for us. The hotel itself has stunning views of the sea and is very picturesque. The Food is amazing and to cater for 220 people and have people raving about the food is a great sign. Above all the atmosphere is the best, we searched so many hotels for the perfect venue and you can not find an atmosphere like it anywhere else. The staff make the venue and this is who create the atmosphere we loved. I would give it all 5 stars.

Cannot praise this hotel enough. We were guests in a wedding there this weekend, what a beautiful venue. Staff were truly amazing and couldn’t do enough for you bar and serving staff alike. Fabulous weekend. Thank you to all
